VIEW ALL OFFERSYou may need to schedule a same-day appointment if you’re suffering from any sort of dental issue that requires urgent attention. (Examples include a severe toothache that won’t go away or teeth that have been badly damaged in an accident.) In this type of situation, calling our office is a better option than sending an online form since you won’t have to wait as long for a response.
When you call us to ask about a same-day appointment, we will listen carefully as you explain your symptoms to us. We’ll make arrangements to see you as soon as we can; until then, be sure to follow any first-aid instructions that we give you over the phone. Once you arrive for your appointment, we’ll do what we can to get you out of your current pain, and we’ll put together a treatment plan to address the root of the problem.
First, there’s one thing you need to determine: which traits matter most to you in a dental practice? Maybe you’re looking for a place that will take your dental insurance. Maybe you’re focused on finding an office that’s close to your home or workplace. Or maybe you need a dentist who offers a specific form of treatment. Take the time to define what you’re looking for so that you can narrow down your search to practices that fit the bill.
If there’s a particular dental practice that you’re interested in, you can look them up on Google or Facebook to read the reviews that they’ve gotten. By learning about the experiences that past patients have had, you can get a feel for whether the practice in question is a good fit for you.
While the average cost of a tooth extraction in the United States falls between $150 and $400, the price of the procedure is something that can vary from patient to patient. The location of the practice can make a difference, but the specifics of your procedure also need to be taken into account. For example, if a tooth is particularly difficult to remove, you can expect to need to pay more for the procedure.
To be recognized as a dentist in the United States, one needs to have a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Earning one of these degrees requires getting a bachelor’s degree first. After that, one needs to enroll in an accredited dental school. It takes about four years of study at dental school before a DMD or DDS can be acquired. Note that even dentists who have already earned the necessary degrees are still expected to periodically complete continuing education courses.
